Felicia Day does a mean “Blue Steel” in Dragon Age Redemption trailer

Felicia Day is sword-swinging, back-flipping and knife-throwing her way through this first trailer for Dragon Age Redemption, the upcoming web series she’s writing and starring in with Bioware’s backing.

The six-episode story will follow The Guild star as Tallis, an elven assassin hot on the trail of a renegade mage. Though the trailer doesn’t reveal much, beyond the fact that Day will most definitely be sporting the telltale “knife ears” of her elvish heritage, we know that Tallis won’t work alone, recruiting allies throughout Ferelden in her quest to capture the apostate. “The success or failure of [Tallis’] mission will have a big impact on her future and her freedom,” said Day of her character, who she describes as a dirty fighter with a really sarcastic sense of humor. “I wanted to bring a modern sensibility to a fantasy character in a fantasy world.”

“I love games [and] love this franchise [so] I put every single effort into making this something that gamers will be proud of,” Day added. “Even though we were constrained a lot as a Web series, none of the people who were involved took that as a constraint. They took that as a challenge.”

Dragon Age Redemption is currently in post production, releasing sometime later this summer.
