World of Goo for iPad is 99¢ for one day and one day only

It might be a hollow greeting card company-created holiday, but the App Store is certainly feeling the love – major developers like Gameloft, EA, Capcom, Sega and Namco Bandai have slashed prices on huge chunks of their pocket gaming catalogues from now until Valentine’s Day.

I’ve already grabbed Spider-Man: Total Mayhem, Street Fighter IV, Resident Evil 4, Mirror’s Edge, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Need For Speed Shift, and ChuChu Rocket for less than a buck each, but the best deal is also the briefest. World of Goo HD for the iPad, which normally retails for $9.99, has dropped to just 99¢ for the next 24 hours, and the clock is already ticking. Just to give you an idea of what a great deal this is, I didn’t hesitate to purchase this definitive version of the bridge-building puzzler and I don’t even own a freakin’ iPad. This is a must have for anyone with an iPad, or thinking about ever getting an iPad.

If you liked it, and how could you not like a pitch perfect physics puzzler chock full of gooey charm, you should put a ring on it.
